What is Aethoxysklerol® 3%?

Aethoxysklerol® 3% is used in the treatment of medium and large sized varicose veins and hemorrhoids (1st and 2nd degree) with sclerosis.

Indications

Aethoxysklerol® is used in the treatment of spider web-like veins and the central veins of spider web-like veins with sclerotherapy*.
*Sclerotherapy is a method of completely closing the vascular space by injecting a sclerosing (constricting) solution into the varicose vein (in case of vein dilation).

Posology and Administration

In general, the recommended daily dose of 2 mg lauromacrogol 400 per kg body weight should not be exceeded. For a patient weighing 70 kg, a total of up to 140 mg lauromacrogol 400 can be injected (as an exception, see dosage for haemorhoidal disease). 140 mg lauromacrogol 400 is contained in 4.6 ml
