PK-Merz® is a tablet form medicine included in the group of antiparkinson medicines.
PK-Merz® contains amantadine sulphate.

PK-Merz® is used in the following cases:
• In the treatment of muscle responses (muscle stiffening, tremors, involuntary tremors (dyskinesia), decreased or stopped activity or motor functions) caused by Parkinson's treatment and medicine,
• In the treatment of symptoms (motor dysfunctions such as tremors) that occur after brain surgeries (stereotactic surgeries) performed without opening the skull

Parkinson's disease: If PK-Merz® monotherapy is started for the first time, treatment should be started with 2 tablets per day. Full efficacy is seen within 48 hours. In patients who have another medical disease or who are taking high doses of other antiparkinsonian medicines, treatment should be started with 1 tablet per day (100 mg/day). After one or several weeks of treatment, the dose can be increased to the standard level of 1 tablet twice daily (200 mg/day). In patients who do not respond to the daily dose of 2 tablets (200 mg), the dose can be increased to 4 tablets (400 mg) taken in divided doses throughout the day. The dose should not exceed 6 tablets (600 mg) per day.

Tablet
