Hepa-Merz® is a medicinal product containing the active ingredient L-Ornithine-L-Aspartate. Hepa-Merz® is a medicine that increases the synthesis of urea and glutamine in the liver and ensures the removal of ammonia.
Hepa-Merz® is used in the treatment of various levels of loss of movement and mental functions due to liver failure (latent and overt hepatic encephalopathy).
Unless otherwise recommended by the physician, up to 4 ampoules are used per day. Depending on the severity of the patient's condition, in cases of newly onset confusion (precoma) or confusion (coma), 8 ampoules can be administered within 24 hours. The contents of the ampoule are added to the infusion solution and administered to the patient in this form.
Hepa-Merz® can be easily mixed into normally used infusion solutions.
