HEPA-MERZ® is a medicinal product containing the active ingredient called L-Ornithine-L-Aspartate. HEPA-MERZ® is a drug that -removes ammonia by increasing synthesis of urea and glutamine in the liver.
HEPA-MERZ® is used in the treatment of disorders due to failure in removal of ammonia resulted from liver failure and different level of movement and mental function loss (latent and manifest hepatic encephalopathy).
Unless otherwise recommended by the physician, 1 – 2 pochettes of HEPA-MERZ® are taken 3 times a day. HEPA-MERZ® is used orally. The contents of the pochette are prepared by dissolving in a large amount of liquid (for example: a glass of water, tea or fruit juice) and taken after meals.
