Medikinet® is used in the treatment of attention deficit and hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). It is used in children and adolescents between the ages of 6-17 and adults over the age of 18. However, it is only used after non-medicine treatments such as counseling and behavioral therapy have been tried.

Medikinet® is used in the treatment of attention deficit and hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). It is used in children and adolescents between the ages of 6-17 and in adults over the age of 18.

Ages 6-17: The recommended initial dose is 5 mg once or twice daily (at breakfast and lunch). If necessary, the dose may be increased by 5-10 mg at weekly intervals, depending on the observed efficacy and tolerability. Ages 18 and over: The recommended starting dose is 10 mg. If necessary, the daily dose may be increased by 10 mg weekly, depending on the observed efficacy and tolerability. The total daily dose may be divided into two administrations, morning and afternoon.
Always take Medikinet® in the morning on a full stomach (during or immediately after breakfast). Taking it on a full stomach is essential for sufficient prolonged effect. The tablets may be swallowed whole with a glass of water.
Alternatively, the tablets may be split in half and taken with or immediately after meals.
