NTCAIN® is a 10 ml ampoule containing a solution for injection, the active substance is procaine hydrochloride.
Procaine hydrochloride belongs to group of ester structured anesthetics and is used for local infiltration anesthesia (wound, minor surgery (minor surgery), burn, damaged skin (abrasions) etc
Local infiltration anesthesia: In general, the dose depends on the required anesthetic effect and the width of the area to be anesthetized. The maximum dose for infiltration anesthesia in adults is 1000 mg (10 ampoules) over 24 hours. In applications related to infiltration anesthesia and dental treatment, the dose is usually 1 or 2 ml of NTCAIN®. It is administered intramuscularly.
